I never thought about Alexander Hamilton as our patron saint.

But I always liked the guy.

In my opinion, he became a New Yorker even before he came to New York.

Clerk, Student, Poet, Artillery Captain, Lawyer, Educator.

Son of a Scot who turned the Anglophile # 1.

Grown up on Scandinavian territory.

Brought up by a German.

Born by a Frenchwoman.

Married to a Dutch girl.

I heard even Afro-Americans consider him one of their own.
