I visited LA once, and once was enough.

Can you imagine somebody telling a New Yorker that nothing is open late?!

I didn't have time to freak out. “Be careful all the time,” – the same person told me.

“Muggers could be everywhere.”

All addresses turned to be hard to find, even harder to reach.

One cab ride costs 50 bucks (meal budget for a week).

I couldn't wait to come back to a place where I can spend $1.50 (now it is $2) and get anywhere I want.

That's what we call freedom.
